School's Out For The Summer!

Well, not quite. But we're definitely getting there. Even though Wednesday is the last day, people are dropping like flies. Or flying like drops. Well, you get the point. It's interesting to watch people's reactions to leaving. You start to figure out who doesn't say goodbye. There are people who withdraw and there are people who cling tighter. I'm not sure what kind of person I am. I can go both ways very very easily. It helps that I'm already kind of a recluse.

Just a side note: I feel as if there should be a return of penmanship classes and letter writing. Seriously? I have pretty bad handwriting, I know. I would have enjoyed a penmanship class. But what is it with this day and age where no one seems to know how to spell a word. Either it is a misspelling or an abbreviation or a different representation of a word through syllables. Pretty sure I'm guilty of all of these as well. Where is my class to correct them? I am hesitant to write notes to people that I am attracted to (though this isn't really something that happens in college) because there have been so many instances of misspellings and horrible handwriting and stupidity. It's quite a turn-off, not gonna lie. (See?! There! I did it too! Oh the shame.)

Look up Taylor Mali. He is on his way to becoming one of my heroes. And I try to personally know my heroes. Which would be AWESOME! Haha.

That's all for now. Just some musings.

There's no need.

Well, actually there is a need.
For towels.
And soap.
Not to be mean, but when the cleaning ladies come and clean the bathroom they usually put in new toilet paper, towels, and soap and take out the garbage. So why do we have two of those things covered and not the others? I miss soap! It does good things!
But at least our bathroom no longer smells like rancid strawberry vomit. That makes me very much happy.
But I would like some soap.
And towels.
Well, I can make due without the towels.
But not the soap.
'Kay, thanks.

That burnt out rock and roll.

That's how I feel right about now. Burnt out. Who decided that lots of hugeish things should be due at the end of terms? Seriously? Ban finals! Ban final papers! Ban final projects! Ban attendance policies! Support learning what you want to, when you want to. Support just hanging out, exchanging thoughts and beliefs. Support not having to pay to do this. Support getting a degree to do this. Ban requirements. Support school, ban school.
I'm so very excited to come home in a bit over a week. You have no idea. I keep wavering between wanting to come home and wanting to stay but right now I NEED to be at home. I love summer in the cities. Just lazing around, sitting outside, knowing how much stuff you could go do if you really cared. In Beloit you can't really do much without a car. I mean, there are things to do, but not a lot of it is free, close, or fun after the first five times. Spring fever. Though it feels more like summer. Summer fever? I'm ready to be done with this semester though, there is no mistaking that.
On to that math paper. Do not want.

Oddities.

Things that are weird:
Eating crumbly rice-crispy bars with a spoon.
Birds chirping at three in the morning.
Getting homework done in a productive and (somewhat) timely manner.
The fact that school is nearly done for the year.
Being somewhat excited for a final.
Being somewhat excited for two finals.
Being somewhat excited for three finals.
Being bombarded with requests for an accompanist (moi).
Summer weather.
Being excited about being in Botany.

Yeah....

Ponder.

I feel like I'm supposed to have an opinion. Aren't you supposed to have an opinion when you have a blog? Well, I'll just have to find something to be opinionated about. Right?

I laugh in the face of danger.

Okay, so, some things are really scary.
Flickering lights.
Zombies.
Static.
Not being able to see.
John Travolta.
Dragonflies.

But some things are really happy.
Friends.
Tea.
Yellow sunglasses.
Big earrings.
Discovering that you have a B+ in math class rather than the D you thought that you had.
Sunday being over.
